We are putting alot of work into upgrading the design system and creating new, flexible designs. This update will include 14 new designs with more to come soon!!!
Many of the new designs make use of the layout builder functionality. The layout builder gives customers more options for customizing different areas of the design. (This will be presented as an advance feature).
MORE COLOR OPTIONS
Many of the new layouts will include more options for customizing colors. These options will give customers the option to customize just about every colored area on the desing. EX.customize the menu bar.
MORE FONT OPTIONS
Many new Google fonts have been added to the text & Styles area to give customers more options for their website typography. You will be limited to choosing up to 4 additonal font families.
[Content slider/customer HTML
The banner system has been reworked to make it easier to manage the banner area. You can choose to use one of the system banners, upload your own banner, use a content slider or set your own custom HTML.
It is now easier to upload your own banner image. The system automatically adjusts the banner area to match both the width/height of the uploaded banner image.
POPUP SUBMENU ENHANCEMENTS
The popup submenus for css base menus now default to have a animated drop down. The menu slides down from the main menu item. Popup menus have also been adjusted so they work better on touch based devicesd like mobile phones and ipads.
New groupbox options and page titles have been added. Text based page titles styles with more control over color and settings are now available. Set the padding/spacing for groupbox styles.
The text and styles area now lets you set the default/global style for all of your galleries and your blogs.
A few new menus/options have been added to the site editor. The design menu has been reworked to provide quicker access to all of the design features. The menu is now available from a new tab in the design area.
The new floating QuickNav option lets you quickly scroll up/down while editing your site. You can quickly switch between edit and view modes. The QuickNav is positioned at the top right of the browser window and is always available so you can switch between edit/view even if on longer pages where the edit tabs are scrolled out of view. The QuickNav is enable by default, but can be disabled from the editor settings area.
The gallery feature has been enhanced giving customers the option to upload new images directly from the page editor. New links have been added to go directly to the gallery settings and image management areas.
The google maps component has been updated to use the new Google maps API. This API no longer requires that customers obtain a key from Google to display a map.
NEW & UPDATED TUTORIALS
New tutorials have been added to the help area: affiliates, shipping, product images and more.
TRIAL SITE UPDATES
We have made several adjustments to the default trial site. These changes include modified text layouts along with photos to give customers a better idea of what the site will look like when their own content is added.
A new welcome popup welcome page has been added for newly created trials. When a new trial is created customers will see a simple welcome page with basic information about the site builder (features). This page provides information and a link to get started editing the website.
